Tasmania

In July 2021 I packed up home in Queensland and headed to Tasmania to housesit for five months, dodging border closures along the way as COVID shut the country down behind me. Thankfully, I made it across Bass Strait before the Apple Isle closed its borders to tourists from the ‘big island’.

Like New Zealand, this beautiful island state is a landscape photographer’s dream, with its rugged coastline, pristine wilderness and amazing light. When you take time to look—really look—you discover around every corner the peace and healing power of the natural world we are privileged to live in.

Landscapes of the mainland ('the big island') are in my Australian gallery  I also have galleries for Australian Wildlife and Australian Birds.
