The trees in Deadvlei are estimated to be approximately 900 years old but have not decomposed due to the extremely dry climate. This location is an incredibly inspiring place and a landscape photographer's dream. The dryness and the sheer enormity of the dunes - with some reaching up to 400m - take your breath away.
